Three Wayne County residents are among four people charged in connection with a robbery of a teenager outside of Walmart in Sterling Heights earlier this week, police said Thursday.
The four are accused of confronting the teen who was selling clothing in the parking lot of the Walmart on Van Dyke Avenue at 14 Mile Road at robbing him at gunpoint.
Arraigned Wednesday in 41-A District in Sterling Heights were:
• Keyedrick Ramone Marr, 18, of Southfield, on charges of armed robbery and felony firearm
• Frederick Karee Marr, 19, of Southfield, on charges of armed robbery
• Raheem Cavon Dixon, 19, of Detroit, on charges of armed robbery
Bond for the Marrs was set at $75,000 each, while Dixon was ordered held on a $50,000 bond. Authorities could not immediately say if the Marrs are related.
Lt. Mario Bastianelli said a fourth suspect is a juvenile and is being processed through the Macomb County Juvenile Court.
According to police, the robbery took place about 3 p.m. Oct. 11 as the victim was selling high-end clothing outside of the Walmart. The four suspects allegedly engaged the teen in conversation, then robbed him, taking a credit card, cellphone and money.
The four then ran across 14 Mile, which is the city’s southern border with Warren, where they fled in a vehicle.
Police notified area departments about the robbery. Warren police eventually spotted a vehicle that matched the description on Ryan Road and began pursuing it.
The suspect vehicle crashed in the area of 11 Mile and Dequindre roads. All four suspects were apprehended and turned over to Sterling Heights police.
In addition to the Sterling Heights charges, Keyedrick Marr is wanted for third-degree retail fraud in Troy, where he allegedly failed to show up for a hearing at 52-4 District Court. His bond in the Troy cases is $10,000.
